System Architecture

The system architecture for managing heaters within the Neptronic Integrated Management System (IMS) leverages the scalability and flexibility of Edge hardware in conjunction with the advanced technology of Neptronic heaters. This design ensures seamless integration with a variety of HVAC controllers, providing a comprehensive management solution for the entire facility.

Neptronic Application-Specific Controllers

The Heaters App on the IMS integrates smoothly with the heaters and allows integration with various types of HVAC equipment, including Fan Coils, VAV systems, and humidifiers. The system supports controllers from the EFCB, TUUB, EVCB, and TROB series, facilitating a unified and efficient approach to HVAC management. This integration ensures straightforward deployment and maintenance across diverse HVAC components.

Neptronic Edge Device

The Edge device acts as the bridge between Neptronic field controllers and the IP backbone, enabling seamless integration and communication. Supporting up to 64 devices across two RS-485 networks, the Edge device accommodates a wide range of configurations suitable for different building sizes and layouts. For instance, a single Edge device can manage one loop across two floors, with up to 32 controllers per floor, or handle two loops on a single floor, each with up to 32 controllers. This flexibility extends to fan coils, heaters, VAV controllers, and other peripherals, all communicating via MSTP or IP. This configuration provides a unified dashboard for alarms, trending, and other critical information, while significantly reducing installation costs and adapting to various facility needs.
